Who we are...

Update Company is a second generation family business that has operated for over 30 years.

Located in the Midway area of St. Paul, Update has renovated over 14 buildings in the neighborhood near Raymond and University Avenues. We currently manage 8 buildings, housing approximately 90 businesses and about 350 employees.

We provide small businesses and nonprofit organizations with the office and warehouse space they need to grow. We take pride in the fact that we have many long term tenants – almost 30% have been with us longer than ten years. Update strives to provide clean, quiet, affordable space for our tenants. Because we own and manage our own buildings, we take a special pride in their appearance and upkeep, inside and out.

Update Company has helped many start up businesses find their first office space. With suites that range from single offices to 10,000 square feet, we have space that suits many different needs.

Jack and Jim McCann supervise the renovation of our buildings and their on-going maintenance. Sandy Jacobs manages the leasing of the spaces. Our office manager Amy McCann makes sure our office runs smoothly and manages our executive office suite.

Update Company is a long time member of the Midway Chamber of Commerce and our partners have served terms on the St. Anthony Park Community Council and the Central Corridor Station Planning Committee. We care about our neighborhood and are actively involved to improve it.
